A Brain storming Session on Moving Towards Cherished Goals of Good Governance is being organized at National University for Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA) 17- B Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi, from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm. Sri Rakesh Sahni, Chief Secretary, Govt. of M.P. and Chairman Executive Body of the School will chair the session which will be attended by the Directors of IIT-Kanpur, IIM-Indore, IIPA-Delhi. Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of NUEPA-New Delhi and several senior administrators from the Govt. of M.P and Govt. of India.

The first meeting of the Executive Body of the University is held under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, Govt. of M.P. to decide about implementation aspects including in principle approval of the General Financial and Administrative Rules (GFAR) for the School. EPCO and CPA are identified as the Govt. agencies to carry out the design and construction work of the School.

Meeting at Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM-I)
Summary of meeting with the Director, IIM-Indore and faculty members.

Interaction with Dr.S.P. Parashar, Director Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM-I): A brief about the School of Good Governance and Policy Analysis (SGPA) and its objectives were sent to Dr. Parashar in advance. In initial discussion some salient features about the SGPA were also presented by the DG of the School. Initiating the discussion Dr. Parashar laid emphasis on developing some indices for the state of Madhya Pradesh in terms of Financial Investments including infrastructure requirements, Professional Performance etc. The Director of IIM-Indore expressed his appreciation for the decision of the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh for this new initiative which could make significant contributions to achieve the desired objectives with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of life of our people and also to act as a major Resource Centre for capacity building in the State of Madhya Pradesh, the Country and the developing World in the area of Good Governance and other allied areas. But according to him the success of the SGPA would depend on development of very vibrant and dynamic linkages between the SGPA and the top administration of the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh. After further interaction with the faculty of IIM-Indore it was generally agreed that IIM-Indore would be willing to collaborate with the efforts of SGPA in providing professional expertise of the Institute in development of the foregoing indices. Dr. Parashar also expressed his appreciation for the effort being made by the Department of Health of Govt. of Madhya Pradesh in getting their senior functionaries trained at IIM-Indore. At the end of the meeting the Director and other faculty members present assured the DG of their full professional support to the initiatives of SGPA and the DG expressed his deep sense of appreciation and gratefulness for such an assurance.

Prof, Parashar also accepted the invitation of the DG to be a member of the Board of Governors of the SGPA and to visit the School for interaction with senior functionaries of the Government of Madhya Pradesh and others.
